Guilt 1. Explain your philosophy or theory of guilt. 2. Explain how guilt functions in a Korean family. Please explain how guilt/ and/or obligation in the Confucian tradition conflicts or is congruent with the values of modern Korean society 3. Discuss the interaction of obligation and guilt in different cultures. Compare eastern and western culture. Compare the concept of shame (Benedict), especially in Japan, with the notion of guilt in Korea. Media 1. How does anthropological research impact media studies? 2. Does McLuhan's discourse on media studies still have salience in the face of contemporary technologies of media?
