Here are Florence's questions.

Guilt

1. Explain your philosophy or theory of guilt. 

2. Explain how guilt functions in a Korean family. Please explain how
guilt/ and/or obligation in the Confucian tradition conflicts or is
congruent with the values of modern Korean society

3. Discuss the interaction of obligation and guilt in different 
cultures. Compare eastern and western culture. (Or, "Please compare
the concepts of guilt and obligation in the Confucian tradition and
the Judeo-Christian tradition.")

4. Compare the concept of shame (Benedict), especially in Japan, with 
the notion of guilt in Korea.

Media

1. How does anthropological research impact media studies?

2. Does McLuhan's discourse on media studies still have salience in
the face of contemporary technologies of media? Use Examples from the 
Korean context (e.g., games and mobiles) and contrast with the North
American context.  What are the Canadian policy implications?

3. To what extent have contemporary ICTs facilitated retribalization
in the McLuhan sense? Use Korean examples and make reference to large 
scale (nationalistic) and smaller scale tribal expressions. Is this a
view of the future in North America?  What are the Canadian policy
implications?
