Hello! I am Christy and this fall, I will be in my second year at SFU studying Communication. I love all things having to do with dance! My favourite genres are probably contemporary and urban. Some advice I’d give to first year students is to try to make friends during the first week of classes. You guys can bond over if you found the right room or not. I know I did that haha!
Feel free to ask me any questions you have about your first term at SFU by emailing me at email@example.com.
Hi everyone, my name's Liam! I'm a 4th year Communications major at SFU. I like to be as involved as I can around campus, so keep an eye out for me around Burnaby and Harbour Centre! In my spare time, I'm likely either working, doing something involved with my Fraternity, playing soccer, or dusting full plates of Mexican food with my friends. When it comes to tips for first years, I'd say make sure you take advantage of social clubs and events on campus, and really put yourself out there! The university experience is whatever you want it to be, so take control and make your experience memorable!
My name is Preet Dhaliwal and I am in first year, about to go into my second year come fall 2018. My major is communications, and I am thinking of minoring in criminology. My hobbies consist of creating art, karate, photography and reading. One tip I would give first years so that they could have a positive experience is for them to go out of their comfort zone and introduce themselves to others.
