We created this Live Dashboard that live tracks social media posts in Canada that reference COVID-19, Google search trends, climate change and global arming, fake news, disinformation, and misinformation.
We use different digital platforms and tools like Python to collect data from social media including the SFU-4CAT that we manage. We often collect and analyze data from Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Telegram, Reddit, BitChute, Rumble, Gettr, GAB, Tumblr, Vkontakte, Odnoklassniki....etc. We also use Cedar, Canada's supercomputer, to process large datasets of several terabytes.
