Congratulations Tessa

Tessa Perkins Deneault is the new manager of communications and strategy in the Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology.

Tessa has been working at SFU since 2012. Before joining FCAT as a communications associate last year, she worked in the Beedie School of Business and advancement and alumni engagement. She has more than 10 years of experience in both print and digital media as a writer and editor at publications including The Peak, Press+1 and The Canadian Film Review.

Three nights a week, you can find Tessa at the dance studio taking hip hop, ballet and tap classes. When she’s not dancing, she’s probably watching a dance performance, attending a play, or writing about the arts as a freelance journalist for magazines such as Dance International and The Dance Current and her own website, Centre Stage. Tessa has a BA in English and French literatures with a minor in publishing, a Certificate in Liberal Arts, and a Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Communication — all from SFU.

Feel free to reach out to her at tcp@sfu.ca.
