SFU video library to go offline at end of 2020
The SFU Video Library will be discontinued at the end of 2020. The technology is at the end of its life and Communications & Marketing will no longer offer it as a video storage service.
For the next six months, Communications & Marketing will maintain the library as-is, but will not add any videos to it. If you have videos stored in the library, we recommend you use the download information emailed with original links from Creative Studio, and archive the content within your department.
If you are currently embedding any videos from the library, please download the videos to host them on your department’s YouTube or Facebook channels. You can also host and embed videos on your IT Services’ My Mediasite server.
For further questions or advice on how to retrieve your data from the Video Library, please contact cm-video-migration@sfu.ca.
