SUBSCRIBING TO A DEPARTMENT CALENDAR IN SFU MAIL
SFU Mail allows you to subscribe to the SFU events calendar. You can learn how to set up an external calendar subscription on the SFU Mail site.
Creating a custom departmental calendar link
If you would like to set up a link to subscribe to your departmental calendar, follow these steps:
- Log in to LiveWhale with your CAS credentials
- Once logged in, you will see your department name in brackets after your user name in the top right of the screen
- Replace all spaces in the department name with %20 (for example, "Student Services" would be changed to "Student%20Services")
- Add your modified department name to the end of this URL:
https://sfu.lwcal.com/live/ical/events/group/REPLACEWITHDEPTNAME
- For example, the Student Services link would look like:
https://sfu.lwcal.com/live/ical/events/group/Student%20Services

Add your custom link to your SFU Mail calendar
- Follow the instructions on setting up an external calendar subscription in SFU Mail using your departmental URL in place of the ones provided in the instructions
