Create a new event

On your main events page, click + Add new.

All events must have images. Click on the space holder for images. 

  • Image Dimensions: Use at least 2160 x 1080px (2:1 ratio) image. A 2:1 ratio image is a horizontal image that’s twice as wide as it is tall
  • File types accepted are: JPEG, PNG or BMP
  • The file size of your image should be no larger than 10MB
  • If you do not have an image for your event, use one from SFU Comms’ stock library
  • Avoid images with a lot of text - the additional information can distract your attendees
  • Do not use random web images

Use this widget to upload an image. All images you upload will go into a gallery that is unique to your department.

Select “Decoration only” if you do not need your image to convey any information. If you want this image to appear only as the thumbnail, select “Use for thumbnail only.”

Then save all changes. 

To create a title, replace the red text with a title for this event. Make sure it is concise and informative.
