Minor in Computing Science
The Minor provides students with a solid understanding of computer science and programming principles. Current SFU students may complete a Minor in Computing Science by taking required courses alongside the requirements for their major.
Students wishing to change their designation from Minor to one of the Major or Joint Major programs should visit an Applied Sciences advisor.
Admission to a minor in computing science is open to all current Simon Fraser University students with a major in a subject other than Computing Science. Admission is competitive and requires the completion of three of the lower division courses listed below. The admission GPA is established each semester, and will never be less than 2.40.
For application information, please see the current SFU students section of our admissions page.
For detailed program requirements please see the SFU calendar.
Note: Students wishing to propose an alternate course to the philosophy/English requirement should consult a FAS advisor.
