What is your current position? Briefly describe what you do.

In my current role, I oversee Service Delivery across Service Delivery across Asia for AchieveForum, a workforce performance improvement organization specializing in leadership development across the globe. In addition to working on strategic projects, I lead a regional team of project leaders, design consultants, external faciliators and contractors, and together, we help clients translate their requirements and goals into concrete plans and state of the art deliverables.

What was the best advice that you received while you were an SFU student?

An advisor, during a co-op search term, suggested that I keep an open-mind about opportunities - that there's always something to learn - and experiences should be win-win for both the organization and the individual.

What did you think you would be doing when you started university?

I had thought I would go into marketing communications and branding, or perhaps even hospitality management.

Did you ever have an 'aha' moment in regards to your career? What was it?

Lifelong learning and improvement have always been interests of mine and I realized that I could help people develop and do the same. We spend so much time at work, in the office, and if we could equip others with the skills and knowledge to achieve and perform at the highest level, there is tremendous benefit to both employee engagement and the organization bottom line. This is the epitome of what I'm currently doing, and it feels great! I thrive in collaborative and high-energy environments where I can add value and feel challenged at the same time.
