In 2020, SFU Economics celebrated its 55th anniversary as one of the top 100 Economics Department worldwide and top 3 in Canada. In commemoration, the department has launched the Economics Student Leadership Fund to support student initiatives, enrich educational experiences, and create transformative learning opportunities.
