Alexander Mikhaylov

Alexander Mikhaylov is a BA student in the School of Criminology at Simon Fraser University. His research interests include cybercrime, fraud and financial crime, as well as law and public policy. Under the supervision of Dr. Richard Frank, Alex completed his field practicum at the International CyberCrime Research Centre (ICCRC) and conducted an analysis on Russian-speaking hacking and carding forums. Here he uncercoved both the context of the keyword usage elements of criminal schemes as well as the methods used by cyberfraudsters. Alex presented the results of this study at the 2016 International Conference on Cybercrime and Computer Forensics (ICCCF) in Vancouver, BC.
