Tiana Gaudette is a PhD student in the School of Criminal Justice at Michigan State University. She is also a Research Associate at the International CyberCrime Research Centre at Simon Fraser University (SFU) and a Research Assistant on a Public Safety Canada-funded project exploring the landscape of right-wing extremism in Canada. In addition, she was a Research Assistant on a number of Public Safety Canada-funded and UNESCO-funded projects which explored ways to combat radicalization and violent extremism. Her research interests broadly include terrorists’ and extremists’ use of the internet, cyberterrorism, right-wing extremism and terrorism, preventing violent extremism, and research methods. Her work has been published in New Media & Society, Terrorism and Political Violence, Studies in Conflict & Terrorism, as well as in several edited book collections and the VOX-Pol Network of Excellence Blog. She has also presented her work at the American Society of Criminology Annual Meeting, the Western Society of Criminology Annual Conference, the International Network for Hate Studies Conference, and the VOX-Pol Conference. Tiana recently earned an MA in Criminology from SFU.
