SFU Surrey held its annual Global Community Open House earlier this month. Everyone – current and prospective students, family and friends, SFU staff and faculty – was invited to spend the evening exploring SFU's vibrant campus in Surrey, one of Canada's fastest growing and diverse communities.

The event was a celebration of global community, featuring culturally-infused food and entertainment. Visitors watched captivating presentations about the latest in SFU research, and took part in various interactive displays and exhibits. Activities were available for guests of all ages, including a scavenger hunt, and an Engagement Zone where participants learned how to connect with people from diverse backgrounds, and found out how SFU makes a difference in communities around the world.

Applied Sciences staff and volunteers were on hand to provide tours of the award-winning campus, and answer questions about Software Systems, Mechatronic Systems Engineering and other Applied Sciences programs and services.
