Former federal Liberal leader Stéphane Dion is coming to Simon Fraser University’s Burnaby campus to talk about the party’s future. He will speak in English to a political science class and then deliver another lecture in French afterwards to the SFU community.

“Stéphane Dion was instrumental in Canada’s official languages strategy… because of Mr. Dion, B.C. graduates from French immersion and Francophone programs can now pursue post-secondary education in French in B.C.,” says Claire Trépanier, director of SFU’s Office of Francophone and Francophile Affairs (OFFA).

WHEN:          Thursday, November 10, 1:15 p.m. (media availability), 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (lecture in English), 3:30 p.m. (French lecture).
SFU Burnaby, 8888 University Drive, West Mall Complex, Room 3220 (English lecture); OFFA office, Cornerstone building (French lecture).
