Interpreting Skills

This course provides fundamental training in note-taking, number conversion, summarization, shadowing, and sight translation. You will also intensively practice interpreting in a particular industry or technical field. The course addresses and reinforces your knowledge of comparative Chinese-English grammar. It also enhances your skills in transferring between different language structures through transposition, modulation, adaptation, compensation, and other techniques.
