News Analysis and Interpretation

This course uses television news, magazines, and newspapers to enhance your bicultural sensitivity. It also gives you the political, economic and social background information you need to understand local and international contemporary issues. Besides learning strategies for making sense of the language and attitudes presented, you will practise translating news in summary and in detail.
