TWS Community Workshops: Starting a Long-Form Project

Sun, 24 Jan 2021 10:00 AM

This is the year to write your novel!  How do you create a plan to write a book? This workshop will help you project-plan your dream into a reality. We’ll discuss how to get started, organize your materials, figure out any gaps in your knowledge or resources and how to keep going (even when it gets hard).

Instructor Bio:

Eileen Cook is a published author with HMH, Simon and Schuster, and HarperCollins. Her novels, which include The Almost Truth, Unraveling Isobel and You Owe Me a Murder, have been published in eight different languages and optioned for both film and TV. Her young adult novel With Malice was called "a seriously creepy thriller” by Entertainment Weekly. Her novel The Hanging Girl/One Lie Too Many won the John Spray Award in 2018 for best mystery in Canada. She spent most of her teen years wishing she were someone else, or somewhere else, which is great training for a writer.

You can read more about Eileen, her books and the things that strike her as funny at She lives in Vancouver with her two naughty dogs and no longer wishes to be anyone or anywhere else.
