Behrouz Darvishzad

Behrouz Darvishzad, PhD, is a micropaleontologist who has researched extinction events throughout Earth’s history. He has studied the connection between climate change and species disappearance—in particular, unicellular species from 65 million years ago and present-day fish populations in the Caspian Sea. He is interested in the role of animals in earthquake early warning and the use of data to predict dangers to the biosphere.

Behrouz was an assistant professor in the Department of Geology at Bu-Ali Sina University in Iran.
