Anisa Kassam

Instructor
Liberal Arts and 55+ Program

Anisa Kassam was introduced to the world of travel by her mother, who worked for airlines. By the age of eight, Anisa had visited bustling flower markets in Mumbai, tossed her first snowball in Zurich and slurped hot chocolate in Paris. Anisa spent her childhood in Kenya and immigrated with her family to Canada in the mid-’70s. She holds a degree from SFU and, specializing in adult education and cultural diversity, has worked with immigrants from around the globe as they settle in Canada. Anisa has returned to Kenya many times, visiting family and travelling throughout the country. In her early fifties, Anisa travelled solo to Morocco. Anisa chronicles her travels through the lens of a lover of food, culture and adventure.
