Instructor
Liberal Arts and 55+ Program

Bryan Myles began working with the Bill Reid Centre in October of 2009, and has worked closely with Dr. George MacDonald and his image collection ever since. He has been integral to the development of the Bill Reid Centre in that time and especially since 2014 when he took over as interim director.

Bryan has an MA in cultural anthropology from Carleton University and is undertaking a PhD at SFU with the intention of making future contributions to the Bill Reid Centre. His research explores the changing relationship between memory institutions and Indigenous peoples, and the use of new and emerging media technologies to support First Nations communities as they record, document, safeguard, and shape various levels of access to their cultural heritage.
