Michelle Pollard has a master’s degree in environmental studies, specializing in planning and design for sustainability. She is keenly interested in raising awareness about sustainable city building practices.
Growing up camping and canoeing across Canada with her family, Michelle learned the value of nature at a very young age. As a young adult her move from the suburbs to the city taught her the value urban living particularly with regard to how it minimized her ecological footprint. Merging these values, Michelle envisions cities of the future as resilient and thriving habitats for all species and aspires to reintegrate nature within the urban landscape. She believes that through rewilding and ecosystem-based planning this can be achieved. Her aim is to transform communities by educating and creating awareness of these practices.
