Congratulations to our 2016 Writing and Communications grads

January 31, 2017

On January 25, we celebrated our newest grads at SFU's Vancouver campus. Our annual graduation reception honours the many students who complete our various Writing and Communications programs each year. We're proud to report that nearly 150 students earned their certificates in 2016—including grads from our Business-to-Business Marketing, Creative Writing, Editing, New Media Journalism, Public Relations and Technical Communication programs. The evening featured an inspiring keynote speech by Roundhouse Radio CEO Don Shafer (a lifelong learner and recent SFU student himself), plus lively readings of original works by new Creative Writing Certificate recipients Judy Bicep, Carole Harmon, Ben Ross and Christopher Wolff. Congratulations to all our grads on your achievement and welcome to the SFU alumni community!
