Program details

Format Part-time online
Schedule Classes meet from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Pacific Time on Fridays and Saturdays or over two Saturdays. Courses are between two and three days long.
Duration

You can complete the program in as little as one year. You have up to two years to finish.*

*Beginning on the day you start your first course (as long as the course is part of the program's curriculum when you apply).

Courses

Nine required courses

Learners new to the field of business analysis are strongly recommended to begin their studies by taking Business Analysis Fundamentals. Learners are strongly recommended to end their studies with Business Analysis Implications.

See individual courses for required textbook. The cost of textbooks is not included in your tuition. 

Note: To participate in this course, please use a computer capable of running Office 365.

Tuition

Tuition is based on the total cost of individual course fees, which range from $860 to $1,290.

Learning environment

Our instructors use a wide variety of teaching techniques. They’ll deliver lectures on theory and best practices, and facilitate group exercises and discussions that encourage experimentation and analysis. You'll go through each course with others with whom you can share professional experience and ideas.

Coursework: What to expect

Prepare to spend 6 to 10 hours per week on coursework, which may include the following: pre-reading, assignments, group discussions and case studies. No exams are required.

Learning materials

By the time you have completed the last course in the program, we expect that you will have read through A Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® version 3.0. This textbook is available to purchase through the IIBA website. See individual courses for further textbook information. The cost of textbooks is not included in your tuition.

Hardware and software requirements

You will need a computer that is connected to the internet so that you can access Canvas, our online course management system. You can check if your browser is compatible with Canvas by accessing Canvas guides here. We recommend you use Google Chrome or Firefox.

Also, you will need to enable your computer’s audio and microphone to participate in live sessions offered through Zoom Meetings.

Graduation requirements

To receive the Business Analysis Certificate, complete and pass all courses and submit a graduation request form. We evaluate your work on a pass/fail basis using a combination of your assignments, individual or group projects, participation and attendance.

Attendance and participation throughout the full duration of a course is mandatory if you wish to be eligible to receive the Business Analysis Certificate
