Learning environment

Modules feature a wide variety of instructional techniques, including individual and group exercises and discussions.  You’ll work through the program with a cohort—a diverse group of leaders—with whom you can share experience, ideas and expertise.

Coursework: What to expect

This certificate is university-level. You’ll complete pre-readings and in-class exercises for each of the modules. You’ll also complete practical assignments for each module.

In the online modules, you will set your own coursework hours, following posted assignment and discussion timelines. Through our online learning management system, Canvas, you will be able to connect with your classmates and instructors.

Graduation requirements

To receive the Executive Leadership Certificate, you must successfully complete all modules within a three-year period.

Take individual modules

If you’re not ready to take the Executive Leadership Certificate, you may still register for most modules individually if space is available. You can register directly or add your name to a waitlist if the module is full.

Technical information

If you register for our online modules, you’ll access the online courses through Canvas, our learning management system, which is available through the SFU website.
