Learning environment

Our class sizes are small—each language-specific training class has no more than 20 people—and our learning environment is interactive. In addition to lectures, exercises and discussions, you’ll participate in on-location legal interpreting training sessions. Additionally, you’ll learn from practising lawyers as well as accredited or certified legal terminologists, interpreters and translators.

Graduation requirements

All courses have been designed to be taken in sequence. You must obtain a minimum of 70% (B-) on the final grade AND be present for 90% of the lecture hours in each of the courses in order to move on to the NEXT course. (If you fail to meet the grade point and/or attendance requirements, you will automatically fail the course and program, making you ineligible to receive the Legal Interpretation and Translation Certificate.)
