Format Part-time in Surrey
Schedule Classes typically meet Wednesdays from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. After eight months of classes, you’ll have 16 months to complete the training workshops.

Courses There are 11 required courses (including two workshops and three career management courses).
Tuition $6,400
Tuition (non-refundable after classes start) is due at least one month before the program begins. It does not include the cost of textbooks.

Learning environment

In class, you’ll learn through a combination of lectures, presentations, discussions, practical examples, and individual and group work. You will work with a cohort—a group of your peers who share experiences and ideas from their own professional backgrounds. Coursework: What to expect

Three career management courses will build your skills for a broad range of career-development-related jobs, including career advising, co-op counselling, employment counselling and career coaching.

Our courses are university-level and typically require weekly preparation. Expect to spend seven to eight hours per week on homework. We will evaluate your work by letter grade (A to F) or on a pass/fail basis. To meet the demands of your coursework, you should have an advanced level of spoken and written English.

To receive the Career Development Practitioner Certificate, successfully complete and pass all courses and submit a graduation request form.
