Bike storage

Vancouver: Visit the Vancouver campus’s Cycling Resources for details on bicycle racks and cages.

Surrey: Bicycle racks are located on level 1 of the parkade.


The SFU bookstore is located at our Burnaby campus and also accepts online orders. In addition to textbooks, the store carries general books, stationery, gifts, greeting cards and SFU clothing.

Food services

At SFU’s Vancouver and Surrey campuses, a food court is located within the building and several restaurants are within close walking distance.

At our Vancouver campus, you can also make use of the student lounge in room 3410. The lounge includes microwaves, sinks, kettles, fridge space, and plenty of seating. Just ask for the room’s access code at Information and Registration (in the main lobby).

Health and Counselling

SFU Health and Counselling offers a wide range of services to maintain your physical and mental health. To access on-site health and counselling services, send your request to

As a student you also have free access to MySSP (Student Support Program), which provides immediate and confidential mental health support from anywhere in the world by phone or through the downloadable app.


Library access is free. Our libraries offer a number of services and research skills services for mature students. They’re also good places to write papers or photocopy assignments. Multifaith Centre

The Multifaith Centre seeks to facilitate living one’s faith, to support the spiritual well-being of students, staff and faculty, and to increase the understanding of and respect for religious beliefs and practices across all three campuses. The centre offers a wide variety of faith activities and events on a drop-in basis.

Simon Fraser University is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for students, staff and visitors. In an emergency, dial 911 from any phone.

For urgent security or first aid, call Campus Security’s emergency line at 778-782-4500. Assistance is available 24/7. Campus Security provides emergency support and first aid response, and helps to guide emergency responders to the right place on campus quickly.
