Graduands! This year has been unexpected and eventful to say the least. Your final year at SFU may not have gone the way you imagined it, but your hard work deserves recognition. The Faculty of Environment invites you to tune in to our Faculty Celebration, which will be hosted live by a fellow graduate.

Come dressed in your finest red-carpet look, your best school spirit outfit, or your most creative homemade graduation cap. There will be SFU trivia to test all your insider knowledge, contest prizes for graduands with the best outfits, and a photo booth where you can take graduation pictures with your friends!

Contest Details

Dress up in:

  • Red-carpet formal wear
  • An outfit displaying your SFU school spirit
  • A homemade graduation cap

We will pick the top three graduands in each category and then have the audience vote on the winner.

Don’t worry everyone who registers will be automatically entered to win our door crasher prizes!

Virtual Convocation Ceremony

Gather with your family, friends and members of the university community to celebrate your accomplishments at your virtual convocation ceremony. Fall 2020 Virtual Convocation will be comprised of four virtual ceremonies hosted by Chancellor Tamara Vrooman and President Joy Johnson. Each ceremony will include:

  • Messages of inspiration and encouragement from representatives of the graduating class;
  • SFU’s distinguished honorary degree recipients and the President of the Alumni Association; and
  • Individual graduate recognition and messages

You’ll be invited to celebrate your accomplishments at an in-person ceremony at a later date.
