How-to use

  1. Click this link from a mobile device
  2. Your filter should open automatically (if it doesn't work, double-check that you have installed the latest version of Instagram)
  3. You should now be wearing your virtual graduation cap
  4. To record a video, hold down the red hat button
  5. Open your mouth and cheer to activate a shower of confetti
  6. After you let go of the button, the video stops recording and plays it back for you
  7. Don't forget to add the hashtag #MySFUGrad2020 before posting it to your story

Facebook filter

How-to use

  1. Open Facebook on your mobile device
  2. Follow Simon Fraser University on Facebook
  3. On the Facebook main page, tap "Create a Story" and select "Selfie" camera mode
  4. Tap the "Smiley Face" icon to access available filters and scroll through
  5. SFU's filter is a grad cap icon with a red background
  6. You should now be wearing your virtual graduation cap
  7. To record a video, hold down the record button
  8. Open your mouth and cheer to activate a shower of confetti
  9. After you let go of the button, the video stops recording and plays it back for you
  10. Don't forget to add the hashtag #MySFUGrad2020 before posting it to your story
