Important Dates
New Students - Prep Semester
WEEK 1-12 |
Students will receive an email that will provide you with instructions on enrolling into a Canvas course that is designed to take you through the preparation for seeking a co-op. New Co-op students will have custom assignments, and must participate in BOL 1 and specified job search workshops. Students are provided with supports delivered via this course, online and personalized direct services. |
Existing Students
WEEK 1-8 |
Students will receive and email that will provide you with instructions on enrolling into a Canvas course that is designed to take you through the process to seeking a co-op. Existing co-op student will be supported delivered via this course, online and through personalized services. |
Seeking Students
If you are currently on co-op or were seeking the semester before you are eligible to continue to seek for the next term. All other students will require to be in the Prep course the semester prior and to undertake the Interview Workshop, Technical Report and Oral Presentation Skills Development Workshops while seeking concurrently.
WEEK 1 - 8 |
New Seekers are to complete, Interview Skills, Technical Report and Oral Presentation workshops |
WEEK 1 - 16 |
Participate in MSE Co-op Seeking course on Canvas, and apply for jobs on myExperience |
Working Students
WEEK 1-4 |
Complete placement information and Learning Objectives on myExperience and BOL II |
WEEK 6-12 |
Site visits with a coordinator will be arranged via your SFU e-mail account (Please remember to check your SFU Email for this visit). |
WEEK 12 |
Final Work Report due on Canvas and myExperience |
WEEK 12-14 |
Go over Supervisor Evaluation with your manager or supervisor before you leave or start your next work term. |
WEEK 14 |
Last chance to inform the Co-op office of any Co-op extension beyond your original contract. |
