Collective bargaining at SFU

Starting in 2022, SFU will enter into collective bargaining with all of its employee groups, along with other public sector employers in British Columbia.

The university is entering into collective bargaining with a philosophy oriented to collaborative bargaining, to meet the core interests of all parties and uphold the sustainable and best interests for the entire SFU community. As we work to become a living wage employer, we want to ensure that everyone feels a sense of belonging, inclusion and fairness on our campuses. That is why we are committed to negotiating with integrity and in a manner that builds trust between the institution, its employees, and the unions and professional associations who represent them.
