Graduate Curriculum Management
New and modified courses and programs at SFU are developed by individual academic units and then submitted to the appropriate approval committees before they are published in the SFU calendar and made available within the Student Information Management System (SIMS). Once a curriculum item has been submitted to Senate for approval, or for information, the item will appear in the calendar and SIMS two terms later. For example:

The Graduate Curriculum Management links provide access to forms, templates, guidelines, deadlines, etc. to help with the process of developing programs and courses for approval. Academic units are encouraged to contact the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (firstname.lastname@example.org) for consultation at any time throughout the development and approval process, and as early as possible with the development of a new program.
Calendar Publication Timeline
The calendar is published online before enrollment begins for that particular term. A month or two before the calendar is published, a draft copy is reviewed by approved editors within each academic unit for accuracy. Any errors found in the calendar should be reported to email@example.com.
