Vancity Executive MBA in Indigenous Business and Leadership Award

Terms of Reference

  1. The purpose of this award is to offer financial assistance to and reward deserving student(s) entering or enrolled in the EMBA Indigenous Business and Leadership Program. 
  2. The award(s) will be disbursed to student(s) who fulfill the following criteria:
    1. demonstrated academic achievement in the most recent degree program completed or in EMBA in Indigenous Business and Leadership Program
    2. demonstrated history of community leadership
    3. enrollment in the EMBA in Indigenous Business and Leadership Program in the Beedie School of Business
  3. Students must be nominated for the award by the Program Director, Executive MBA in Indigenous Business and Leadership. Students may apply on the online Grad Awards, Application and Adjudication System (GA3) and must be accompanied by:
    1. a current, unofficial SFU transcript and/ or a copy of the transcript of the most recent degree program completed
    2. a personal statement of goals related to the aims of the EMBA in Indigenous Business Leadership Program
    3. a current curriculum vitae
    4. one letter of reference from a faculty member familiar with the applicant's work (if the applicant is a continuing student)
  4. The completed application and all supporting documents should be submitted directly to the office of the Program Director, Executive MBA in Indigenous Business and Leadership.
  5. The completed nomination and all supporting documentation must be received by the Office of Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Fellows from the Program Director of the Executive MBA in Indigenous Business and Leadership.
  6. The award will be made by the Dean of Graduate Studies, on behalf of the Graduate Awards Adjudication Committee, upon the nomination of the Program Director of the Executive MBA in Indigenous Business and Leadership.
