Samuel and Leatrice Cohen Prize in Environmental Physiology

Terms of Reference

  1. The purpose of this prize is to recognize the best student paper resulting from graduate research in the field of environmental physiology.
  2. The Samuel and Leatrice Cohen Prize in Environmental Physiology is valued at a portion of the earned income from an endowment.
  3. The criteria for this award are:
    1. submission of a paper based on research in environmental physiology to a refereed journal or a refereed conference during the previous academic year
    2. current registration at Simon Fraser University in a graduate program in the Department of Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology or prior registration in a graduate program within one year following the date of the thesis defense
  4. This award may be held in conjunction with other awards made by Simon Fraser University or other agencies where permitted by those agencies.
  5. Application is made on the online Grad Awards, Application and Adjudication System (GA3) and must be accompanied by a copy of the submitted paper.
  6. The award will be made by the Dean of Graduate Studies on behalf of the Senate Graduate Awards Adjudication Committee, and on the recommendation of the Faculty of Science.
