John Juliani Graduate Fellowship in Theatre or Film

Terms of Reference

  1. The purpose of this fellowship is to provide financial support for graduate students at Simon Fraser University who are pursuing, or intend to pursue, a graduate degree in Theatre or Film.
  2. The criteria for this award are:
    1. registration in a graduate program in the School for the Contemporary Arts at Simon Fraser University
    2. demonstrated academic excellence at the undergraduate level and, if applicable, at the graduate level
    3. indication of interest in issues related to theatre or film
    4. promise of outstanding achievement at the graduate level with particular emphasis on artistic ability and originality and ability in theatre or film
  3. This award may be held in conjunction with other awards made by Simon Fraser University or other agencies where permitted by those agencies.
  4. The student must be nominated for this award by the Director, School for the Contemporary Arts. The nomination is made on the online Grad Awards, Application and Adjudication System (GA3) and must be accompanied by:
    1. a nomination letter describing the academic merits and potential of the nominee
    2. copies of all post-secondary transcripts
    3. outline of intended studies
  5. The award will be made by the Dean of Graduate Studies, on behalf of the Senate Graduate Awards Adjudication Committee, based on the nomination of the Director of the School for the Contemporary Arts.
