Leon J. Ladner Graduate Scholarship in BC History

Terms of Reference

  1. The purpose of this annual award is to provide financial support for a student pursuing a graduate degree in the Department of History.
  2. The criteria for this award are:
    1. registration at Simon Fraser University in a graduate program in the Department of History
    2. study in the field of British Columbia history
    3. demonstrated academic excellence at the undergraduate and, if applicable, at the graduate level
  3. This award may be held in conjunction with other awards made by Simon Fraser University or other agencies where permitted by those agencies.
  4. Application is made on the online Grad Awards, Application and Adjudication System (GA3) and must be accompanied by:
    1. copies of all post-secondary transcripts
    2. a concise outline of the proposed program of studies
    3. a curriculum vitae
    4. one letter of reference from a faculty member familiar with the applicant's work
  5. The completed application and supporting documents must be received by the department of enrolment.
  6. The award will be made by the Dean of Graduate Studies on behalf of the Senate Graduate Awards Adjudication Committee.
