Dr. Jack Nance Memorial Graduate Scholarship in Archaeology

Terms of Reference

  1. The purpose of this award is to provide financial support for a graduate student at Simon Fraser University who is pursuing a graduate degree in the Department of Archaeology and has completed at least one term of work.
  2. The criteria for this award are:
    1. registration at Simon Fraser University in a graduate program in the Department of Archaeology with at least one term of work completed
    2. demonstrated academic excellence at the graduate level
    3. cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50
  3. This award may be held in conjunction with other awards made by Simon Fraser University or other agencies where permitted by those agencies.
  4. Application is made on the online Grad Awards, Application and Adjudication System (GA3) and must be accompanied by:
    1. copies of all post secondary transcripts
    2. two letters of reference from faculty members familiar with the applicant's work
    3. a concise outline of the proposed or actual program of studies
  5. The completed application and all supporting documents must be received by the department of enrolment.
  6. The award will be made by the Dean of Graduate Studies on behalf of the Senate Graduate Awards Adjudication Committee.
