Anne Peters Pinto Graduate Scholarship in Women's Studies

Terms of Reference

  1. The purpose of this award is to provide financial support for a student pursuing a graduate degree in the Department of Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies.
  2. The Anne Peters Pinto Graduate Scholarship in Women's Studies is a one-term award. The value will be determined by the amount from the endownment.
  3. The criteria for this award are:
    1. demonstrated academic excellence at the undergraduate level and, if applicable, at the graduate level
    2. registration at Simon Fraser University in a graduate program in the Department of Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies
    3. continuing or incoming students are eligible
    4. promise of outstanding achievement at the graduate level
  4. This award may be held in conjunction with other awards made by Simon Fraser University or other agencies where permitted by those agencies.
  5. Application is made on the Application for a Private Graduate Scholarship form and must be accompanied by:
    1. copies of all postsecondary transcripts
    2. one letter of reference from a faculty member familiar with the applicant's work
    3. a concise outline of the proposed program of studies
  6. The completed application and all supporting documents must be received by the department of enrolment.
  7. The award will be made by the Dean of Graduate Studies on behalf of the Senate Graduate Awards Adjudication Committee, and on the recommendation of the Graduate Program Committee of the Department of Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies.
