TCG International Graduate Scholarship in Business Administration

Terms of Reference

  1. The purpose of the TCG International Graduate Scholarship in Business Administration is to provide support for a graduate student in a Master’s program in the Beedie School of Business.  To be eligible for the award, the student must be a BC resident.
  2. The TCG International Graduate Scholarship in Business Administration is a two-term award valued at a portion of the earned income from the Endowment Fund.
  3. The criteria for this award are:
    1. demonstrated academic excellence at the undergraduate level and, if applicable, at the graduate level
    2. registration in a Master’s program in the Segal Graduate School of Business, Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University
    3. promise of outstanding achievement at the graduate level
    4. student must be a BC resident
  4. This award may be held in conjunction with other awards made by Simon Fraser University or other agencies where permitted by those agencies.
  5. Students must be nominated for this award by the Associate Dean, Graduate Programs, Beedie School of Business.  The nomination is made on the Application for a Private Graduate Scholarship form and must be accompanied by:
    1. a nomination letter from the Associate Dean, Graduate Programs, Beedie School of Business, describing the academic merits and potential of the nominee
    2. a current, unofficial SFU transcript if a current student and a copy of the official transcript of the most recent degree program completed
    3. a curriculum vitae summarizing scholastic and work or other achievements
    4. a letter of reference from a former instructor or employer or community member familiar with the student’s potential
  6. The award will be made by the Dean of Graduate Studies on the nomination of the Associate Dean, Graduate Programs, Beedie School of Business, and on behalf of the Senate Graduate Awards Adjudication Committee.
