Canada's been ranked first in a new study that analyzes faculty salaries across 28 countries.

Inside Higher Education has a brief summary of the study: "Faculty Pay, Around the World":

A new analysis of faculty salaries at public universities worldwide — designed to make comparisons possible by focusing on purchasing power, not pure salaries — finds that Canada offers the best faculty pay among 28 countries analyzed.

The project's website contains much more data so that you can perform your own analysis.

If you're looking for a faculty position either here in Canada or elsewhere around the world, this will probably provide you with a few more factors to consider in your search.
