Calling SFU Grad Student Alumni: Volunteers needed for Career Panel

September 05, 2013

Did you end up on a career path that's very different from what you expected when you started your graduate program? Did you take risks and create your own career path?

The Office of Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Fellows is organizing a speaker's series for the 2013/2014 year. We are looking for SFU graduate student alumni (or alumni from other universities who are available locally) who are willing to participate in one of a series of inspirational career panels for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. We are looking for alumni who:

  • have completed a master's or doctoral degree
  • have ended up in various career sectors, such as government, industry, nonprofit, research, teaching, academia, and especially alternative careers
  • would be willing to candidly discuss their educational experience and their trials finding a career path

Please help us find these interesting individuals! Please pass along this call for volunteers and ask any potential volunteers to contact Sue Hampton,
