Mitacs Step has a large number of free workshops coming up this fall in BC. These workshops are open to all graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. We've bolded the ones that are offered at the Burnaby campus.

- Proactive and Practical Communications & Teamwork - Burnaby (November 19, 2013)
- Practice Your Presentation Skills II - Vancouver (November 21, 2013)
- Networking: Practical Tips for Growing Your Personal Network - Vancouver (November 27, 2013)
- Foundations of Project Management I - Vancouver (November 28 & 29, 2013)
- Foundations of Project Management II - Vancouver (December 9 & 10, 2013)
The workshops are free if you show up, but you are charged $50 if you do not show up. (See their registration information.)
New this fall are a number of free online webinars.
Of note are the ones on "Finding an Industry Partner," which go with the Mitacs paid internships such as Mitacs Accelerate. The biggest question that students have is how to find an "industry partner," and these webinars will hopefully help you figure that step out.
