Call for Statements of Interest

**To accommodate wider participation, CRIE postponed the Symposium (originally scheduled on Friday, November 22, 2013) to Friday, February 21th 2014 from 3:00 to 8:00 pm. We hope this encourages you to submit a proposal and look forward to seeing you there.**

Time: Friday, February 21, 2014, 3:00-8:00 pm
Venue: Room 8651, Education Building, SFU Burnaby Campus
Deadline for submission: Tuesday, February 11, 2014

Our Symposium intends to showcase and highlight the work of graduate students who are engaged in research relating to international education, international higher education, international partnerships, global and international issues including development, health, gender, globalization, global indigenous issues, environment and media etc. Co-presentations of faculty and graduate students are welcomed.

This half-day symposium will focus on sharing ideas and inquiry on international research in its diversity. We anticipate interactive sessions and discussions of research-in-progress.  Participants from all departments and faculties are invited to present their research.

Beginning with short opening remarks, this symposium will take the form of small group sessions (round tables and posters) - where more in-depth conversations will emerge from informal presentations related to participants’ international research.   The format and further details will be finalized after your statements of interest are received.

The following information should be included in your statement of interest:

Name(s) of presenter(s)
Title of Presentation or Topic
Presentation Abstract [150 – 250 words]
Biographical statement: (max. 50 words per presenter)

Statements of interest should be submitted to Olivia Zhihua Zhang at crie@sfu.ca by Tuesday, February 11, 2014. For more information, questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at the same email. Please forward this to others who may be interested in participating.

Thank you for your interest and we look forward to having you there!
