Speaker: Ken Perlin

Hosted by :
Tom Calvert, Professor Emeritus, SIAT and
Steve DiPaola, Associate Professor SIAT | Director, SFU Cognitive Science Program

Abstract :
At the start of my career I added procedures to pixels to synthesize textures.
Somewhat later I added procedures to computer animated
characters to create behavior. Now I add procedures to line drawings to
tell stories. In this talk I will go over some of this history, with live
demos that show these newest research techniques in action.
