On September 9, 2015, SFU will be turning 50!

This special occasion gives SFU a chance to showcase its many achievements that has made it the engaged university that it is today.

To continue building SFU’s sense of community, the University is looking for 15 engaged and creative student leaders from across SFU to act as community ambassadors, promoting over 150 50th Anniversary-related events taking place throughout the 50th Anniversary year (September 9, 2015–April 30, 2016). The program will include 10 undergrad students and 5 graduate students from all academic disciplines.

Selected students will receive a honorarium of $750, awarded over two semesters ($375 in fall 2015 and $375 in spring 2016).

This is an excellent opportunity for you if you have demonstrated community leadership experience from SFU and/or your community. If you are selected for the program you will be given a once-in-a-life-time opportunity to be an integral part of SFU’s 50th Anniversary and its legacy.

You will have the opportunity to demonstrate leadership skills through project management, and to develop and implement your own dynamic ideas to encourage student and community engagement in SFU’s 50th Anniversary events and initiatives and more.
