So good to be back

When I first began my undergraduate studies at SFU in the mid-nineties, I remember arriving on campus and feeling a sense of excitement and anticipation.  I embarked on a Bachelor of Education and as I progressed through the first few terms, I noticed that I really enjoyed my courses, professors and my classmates.

One day as I routinely walked through the quadrangle of the campus, I noticed that I was feeling really happy being a student at SFU.

Fast forward a few years, and I had graduated as a certified BC teacher and pursued a fulfilling teaching career for over a decade.  Having taught a while, I felt I needed to pursue graduate studies to deepen my teaching and my students’ learning.  So, I decided to apply to the Master of Education at SFU.

It has been so long, could I do this again? I arrived on the campus, walked in the very same quadrangle so many years later and experienced the same feeling of happiness as years ago.  It felt so wonderful to be back at SFU!

I am now almost finished my graduate degree.  I feel accomplished and very satisfied with my learning journey.

The photo is taken in the very same place that I experienced a deep sense of happiness and satisfaction as an undergraduate and now as a graduate student.

Happy 50th SFU!
