An Evening with Wendy Davis: Walking and Talking - using your feet and your voice to change the world

There is a new Speaker Series beginning in recognition of SFU's 50th Anniversary called Being the Change: Women, Policy and Making a Difference, hosted by the School of Public Policy.

Wendy Davis will be presenting in the first installment of this new event with SFU. Davis is the former Texas senator who drew international attention for her 11 hour filibuster in 2013 on women's health access in her state. She has worked in public service for three decades.

She will be sharing her insights on what happens when you put yourself in someone elses shoes and speak out on their behalf.

Date: October 8, 2015

Time: 7:00pm - 9:00pm

Location: SFU Harbour Centre

Tickets are $10 General Admission and $5 for students and seniors.
