The School for International Studies invites applications for the Simons Research Fellow (SRF) in Dialogue on International Law and Human Security for the 2017-2018 academic year.

The SRF will be expected to participate in School activities during the term of their appointment, to deliver at least one presentation of their work to the School, and to undertake limited teaching responsibilities, not limited to guest lectures, with the possibility that they might teach one undergraduate course in their area of expertise.

The Fellow may also be asked to contribute to the organization of a workshop in the Spring 2018 term.

Compensation for the SRF is $40,000 CDN. Selection of the SRF will be based on their qualifications in the areas of International Law and Human Security, their highest degree awarded, and the nature of the work they propose to undertake during the duration of the award.

Please note all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.

Please e-mail inquiries and applications to the attention of Professor Alexander Dawson at intst@sfu.ca. Applications should include a cover letter (including detailed research proposal), graduate transcripts, cv, and three letters of recommendation. Referees should email their letters directly to intst@sfu.ca.

Application deadline is March 31, 2017.
