The Canadian Visual Analytics School (CANVAS) is an annual visual analytics summer school / conference held by members and partners of the Canadian Network for Visual Analytics (CANVAC). The CANVAS Summer School series provides Canadian students from CANVAC member universities with an opportunity to learn about visual analytics (VA) from both academic and industry experts in the VA field. The two-day summer school includes lectures, keynotes and panels with industry, non-profit, and academic experts in the field, as well as hands-on workshops for a focused VA learning experience for participating students.

The 6th CANVAS is returning to Simon Fraser University, where it will take place July 19-20, 2017 at SFU’s Big Data Hub at the Burnaby campus. The registration fee is $100.
