Job Posting: Postdoctoral Fellowship in Regional Socio-Economic Development

The Regional Socio-Economic Development Institute of Canada at the University of British Columbia Okanagan invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship. The position is available for a initially for a one year period, and renewable for a second year contingent on available funding. 

The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will play a key role in the design and implementation of a feasibility study on the topic of the development of electric aircraft and its deployment in the rural and remote communities within the interior of British Columbia. The Fellow will also work on scholarly and logistical components of the project, including preparation of background materials, identification of key stakeholders, development of interview and survey questions, and analysis and write-up of collected data. 

  • Minimal requirement: PhD or equivalent degree
  • Location: University of British Columbia Okanagan
  • Deadline: October 15, 2017 (review will begin in September)
The starting salary for the position will be $45,000 plus benefits.
